Olivier Thomert (born May 28, 1980 in Versailles ) is a French football player . The striker is currently under contract with Primera División representative Hércules Alicante . The left-footed is 1.85 m tall and weighs 80 kg.

Career

Olivier Thomert signed his first professional contract for the 1999/00 season with Le Mans FC . The left winger already proved his accuracy in Le Mans, scoring 6 goals in 44 games. For the 2002/03 season Thomert moved to RC Lens for 2 million euros . In Lens he developed into a core force and a support for the team. He won the UI Cup with Lens in 2005 and thus qualified for the UEFA Cup . Thomert scored a total of 19 goals in 134 games for Lens. In June 2007 Thomert signed a contract with Stade Rennes , which is dated until 2011. The football club from the Breton capital transferred around 4.8 million euros to the RC Lens. In Rennes, Thomert wore the number 11 on his back.

Thomert is a very tech-savvy player who is also characterized by his enormous speed. He has played 14 games in France's youth national teams so far, scoring 4 goals.
