Olle Wänlund (born September 12, 1923 in Stockholm , Sweden , † January 11, 2009 in Täby , Sweden) was a Swedish cyclist .

Athletic career

Wänlund operated cycling exclusively as an amateur and appeared in national races between 1946 and 1950. He had his first successes in 1946 with a third place at the Swedish road championships and winning the Nordic Cup (Nordisk Mesterskab) with the Swedish national team. In 1948 Wänlund was third in the 1948 UCI Road World Championships for Amateurs. At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 Wänlund was also part of the Swedish national team, with whom he finished fifth in the team road race. In the street singles he gave up prematurely. The last year of his successes in 1950 began with winning the traditional Swedish road race Östgötaloppet. At the Swedish championships in 1950 he finished second in the individual time trial and won the team time trial. The last victory of his career he won again with the national team at the 1950s Nordisk Mesterskab.
