The men's ring gymnastics competition at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin took place from August 10th to 11th on the Dietrich-Eckart open-air stage.

The gymnasts completed a compulsory exercise and their own freestyle. The points from both exercises were added up. Furthermore, the results were included in the evaluation of the individual all-around competition . The results of the six best athletes of a nation were included in the evaluation of the team all-around competition .
