István Pelle (born July 26, 1907 in Budapest , † March 6, 1986 in Buenos Aires ) was a Hungarian gymnast and two-time Olympic champion .
He first took part in the 1928 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in seven competitions and achieved 10th place as the best place in the team all-round competition.
Four years later at the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles , he was finally able to win two gold medals in floor exercise and on the pommel horse, plus two silver medals in the individual all-around and on parallel bars. In the team all-round competition, on the horizontal bar and in the "tumbling" he just missed the medal ranks in 4th place.
Pelle also took part in the Summer Olympics in Berlin in 1936 and achieved the best place in the team all-around competition.
At the World Gymnastics Championships in Luxembourg in 1930 , he was also able to win the gold medal on the horizontal bar.
After the Second World War he emigrated and settled in Argentina .
