Marius Daniel Urzică (* thirtieth September 1975 in Topliţa , Harghita County ) is a Romanian gymnast and Olympic champion .

At the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney , he won the gold medal on the pommel horse. At the 1996 Games in Atlanta and the 2004 Games in Athens , he won silver. In the team all-around competition in Athens, he was also able to win the bronze medal.

At the gymnastics world championships he was able to win a total of five medals, three times he was world champion on the pommel horse.

He made history when he won the World Cup competition in Glasgow in 2001 with a perfect score of 10.00 points .

His last international competition was at the 2005 World Gymnastics Championships in Melbourne . He has since resigned.
