Eugen Ekman
Eugen Oskar Georg Ekman (born October 27, 1937 in Vaasa ) is a former Finnish gymnast . In 1960 he became Olympic champion on the pommel horse .
At the European Championships in 1959 he won silver on the pommel horse behind Yuri Titow from the Soviet Union. At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 he was sixth with the team, in the twelve fight he finished 30th. But he reached the individual finals on his best device and won gold together with Boris Schachlin from the Soviet Union, Titov only came fifth in Rome. Four years later in Tokyo in 1964 , he finished 8th in the team standings and 34th in the twelve fight. After his career, Ekman worked as an economist.
