Anton Heida (October 1878 ; † unknown) was an American gymnast and five-time Olympic champion .

At the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis , he was the most successful athlete in these games with five gold and one silver medal. He won the individual competitions in the individual all-around , in the horse jump (together with compatriot George Eyser ), on the horizontal bar (together with compatriot Edward Hennig ) and on the pommel horse. As a member of the Philadelphia gymnastics community with the line-up of John Grieb, Anton Heida, Max Hess, Philipp Kassel , Julius Lenhart and Ernst Reckeweg, he also won gold in the team all-around competition. On bars he won the silver medal behind George Eyser.

His victories were also counted as national titles. In 1902 he won the national horse jumping championship.
