Einari Allan Teräsvirta (born December 7, 1914 in Vyborg (now Russia), † November 23, 1995 in Helsinki ) was a Finnish gymnast , Olympic champion and architect .

He first took part in the Olympic Games in 1932 at the age of 17 and was placed in the medal ranks in two of five competitions, one bronze in the team all-around and one bronze on the horizontal bar behind his compatriot Heikki Savolainen . He had the same number of points with Savolainen, instead of the mandatory jump-off for silver and bronze, the Finnish team management decided internally that silver should go to Savolainen and bronze to Teräsvirta.

In 1936 he took part in eight competitions, but could only achieve third place with the team . At the 1948 Summer Olympics in London he finally received a gold medal in the all-around team competition .

After the end of his sporting career, Teräsvirta worked as an architect. Among other things, he designed the Kalastajatorppa Hotel in Munkkiniemi , the Satakunta House in Kamppi and the building for the Faculty of State and Social Sciences at the University of Helsinki in Kruununhaka .
