The group competition in rhythmic gymnastics at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held from August 9 to 12, 2012 at Wembley Arena . A total of 72 athletes competed.

The competition consisted of a qualifying round and the final. Each team competed twice with five gymnasts in both the qualification and the final. The first time it was performed with five balls, the second demonstration was with three bands and two hoops. The two ratings were added to an overall grade. The best eight teams qualified for the final.
