Omar Bravo Tordecillas (born March 4, 1980 in Los Mochis , Sinaloa ) is a Mexican football player .

He is used as a midfielder or as a striker and played for Deportivo Guadalajara between 2001 and 2008 before moving to Deportivo La Coruña in the summer of 2008 . In 2009 he was loaned to UANL Tigres . In the summer of 2010, he moved to Sporting Kansas City in the MLS after just one year .

Omar Bravo comes from the youth of Deportivo Guadalajara , he made his debut in the senior team on February 17, 2001 against UANL Tigres . During the Apertura 2002 he became a regular player and scored six goals in 15 games.

National team

Bravo played in the youth team of Mexico and was appointed to the Mexican national football team after a good performance . At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , he was used as a striker and scored two goals. Bravo was used several times at the 2006 World Cup . He contributed two goals to the 3-1 win against Iran and was then named "Man of the match". He missed a penalty in the game against Portugal .
