history
The company was founded in 1991 as a provider in the field of PC assembling. In 1996, NEC transferred the distribution of its display products for Austria, followed by several company takeovers (Panatronic GmbH and Mobile Pro AG) and self-founding (PC brand Integris, BEG-Computerservice and Omega Techrent). In 2012 the new company headquarters Omega City was opened. In 2016 the brands Maxdata , PROWORX and chilliGREEN were taken over by Quanmax , followed by entry into online trading and the expansion of the entertainment electronics sector . In 2017, Omega took over sales for Xiaomi , the world's third largest smartphone manufacturer. Omega has also been active in the sustainability sector since 2019 and is selling devices from the IT remanufacturing company Circular Computing in Austria for the first time . With a turnover of 301 million euros, Omega ranked 14th among the IT companies in Austria in 2018.
