Omer Smet

Omer Smet ( Omer Karel Smet; born December 13, 1890 in Meerdonk , Sint-Gillis-Waas , † July 12, 1984 in Sint-Niklaas ) was a Belgian hurdler and sprinter .

At the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920, he was sixth in the 4 x 400 meter relay . Over 400 m hurdles and in the 4 x 100 meter relay , he was eliminated in the preliminary run.

He was three times Belgian champion over 110 m hurdles (1920-1922) and 400 m hurdles (1919-1921). He set his personal best in the 400 m hurdles of 57.2 s in 1920.
