Sint-Gillis-Waas is a Belgian municipality in the Flanders region with 19,370 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019).

location

The municipality is located in the north of Flanders, right on the Dutch border. In addition to the main town, it also consists of the three districts De Klinge , Meerdonk and Sint-Pauwels .

Sint-Niklaas is 6 kilometers south-east, Antwerp 20 km east, Ghent 34 km south-west and Brussels about 45 km south-east (all information as the crow flies to the respective city centers).

The next motorway exits are at Sint-Niklaas and Haasdonk on the A14 / E17 .

In Beveren , Nieuwkerken-Waas are the next and Sint-Niklaas regional stations and in Antwerp and Ghent keep on regional express trains.

The Antwerp regional airport is located near Antwerp and the Brussels-Zaventem international airport is near the capital Brussels .
