Sint Pietersbandenkerk in Merelbeke

Merelbeke is a Belgian municipality in the Flanders region with 24,660 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019). It is located in the Ghent area on the right bank of the Scheldt and consists of the districts of Merelbeke , Bottelare , Lemberge , Melsen , Munte and Schelderode .

The city center of Ghent is 6 kilometers north, Bruges 42 km northwest, Brussels about 46 km southeast and Antwerp 52 km northeast.

Merelbeke has a motorway exit on the A10 / E 40 .
The municipality has a regional train station on the Ostend - Gent - Merelbeke - Brussels line.
