Zulte is a municipality in the province of East Flanders in Belgium . It belongs to the Ghent arrondissement and is located 24 km southeast of the city of Ghent .

The community consists of the core town of Zulte and the two districts of Machelen and Olsene.

The place is known by the Belgian first division club SV Zulte-Waregem , which, however, plays its games in the neighboring town of Waregem .
