Omission is a Spanish thrash metal band from Madrid that was founded in 2002.

history

The band was founded in 2002 by singer and guitarist Miguel A. Hernanz Sebares aka "Patillas", who had previously worked for Muro . In 2005, Day of Your Death Arrives ... was the first demo . This was followed by the first appearances before the next two demos appeared in 2007 and 2008 with Yells That Destroy and VPA . In addition, the band could be heard with a few songs in the porn film Agradecidos . In 2009, An Unholy Thrash Metal Night was the first split release, on which the German band Old is also represented. The band later took part in the sampler Spainkills with the song Blood and Steel . In 2009, under the name Thrash Metal Is Violence, the debut album followed in an edition of 500 copies on the band's own label Satanicspeed Records. The album was later re-released on Xtreem Music - with two live recordings as a bonus . After a 2010 split release called Unholy Thrashing Savage , which included three other bands, the second album Merciless Jaws from Hell followed in 2011 at Xtreem Music . After switching to Emanes Metal Records , the third album Pioneers of the Storm was released in 2012 . Next, the EP Black Darkness Obscurity , which contains six songs, was released in 2013 , followed by the fourth album called The Unholiest of Them in 2015. In their career the group has appeared with Flotsam and Jetsam , Destruction , Possessed , Desaster and Immortal , among others .

style

Charles from metalreviews.com wrote in his review of Thrash Metal Is Violence that the band calls their music "Satanicspeed Thrash Metal". The album contains traditional, direct Thrash Metal and it can be classified between Dark Angel and Destruction, with occasional influences from Black Metal being audible. Walter from metal.de confirmed the self-designation of the band in his review of Merciless Jaws from Hell . The speed of the songs is consistently high, the lyrics are darker and blasphemous in nature. The vocals are reminiscent of that of the Sadus singer Darren Travis, while the songs sound overall influenced by Sodom , Destruction, Forbidden , Possessed, Kreator and Venom . However, the songs would lack variety.
