Ondrej Gmitter (born June 27, 1988 in Prešov , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who was last under contract with HC Košice in the Slovakian Extraliga between 2006 and 2014 and was also used at HC 46 Bardejov .

Career

Ondrej Gmitter began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HC 07 Prešov , where he was active until 2006. The attacker then moved to HC Košice , for whose U20 junior he played for two years before he made his professional ice hockey debut for Košice's cooperation partner HC 46 Bardejov in the 2008/09 season . For this he scored six goals in 45 games and gave ten assists as a loan player in the first division , the second Slovak division. In the following season he ran for the first time in the Slovak extra league for Košice, with which he immediately won the Slovak championship . He contributed to this success with two goals in 13 games and was an integral part of the professional team in the playoffs. Most of the season he spent again as a loan player in Bardejov in the first division.

In the 2010/11 season Gmitter was again Slovak champion with HC Košice. During the season he prepared three goals in 17 games and continued to collect match practice as a loan player at the second division club HC 46 Bardejov.
