One Step (song)

One Step (in English : 'One Step') is a pop song composed by Mark Berry; Martina Siber wrote the text (German despite the English title). It was the Austrian contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest 1997 . The song was sung by Bettina Soriat .

The song is an upbeat number in which the singer sings that her partner should "not go a step too far, otherwise she would be gone." Soriat also sings that her love is not like a "bad check".

One Step was sung in the contest as the fourth post, according to San Francisco from Tor Endresen for Norway and most Mysterious Woman by Marc Roberts for the Republic of Ireland . In the end, the song reached place 21 with 12 points out of 25 participants.

The song didn't hit the charts.
