Onevao (also: ʻOnevao ) is a small island in the north of Tongatapu in the Pacific . Politically, it belongs to the Kingdom of Tonga .
geography
The Motu is on the north side of the Piha Passage (Astrolabe Channel) off the north coast of Tongatapu, across from Navutoka . The closest islands are ʻOnevai (W), Monuafe (W) and Motu Tapu (O).
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands in the Tongatapu group, Onevao is occasionally hit by cyclones .
