Onosma propontica is a plant type from the genus of onosma ( Onosma ) in the family of the Boraginaceae (Boraginaceae).

description

Onosma propontica is a more or less grass-forming perennial plant . The flower-bearing stems reach heights of growth of up to 50 cm. Several stems appear per plant, they are upright, strongly branched, finely hairy and hairy with protruding, 1 to 3 mm long bristles. The lower leaves are 40 to 50 mm long and 5 to 7 mm wide, linear-spatulate and hairy on the upper side. They are finely hairy on the underside and only hairy with bristles along the midrib and the leaf margin.

The inflorescences are heavily branched. The flower stalks are 5 to 8 mm long at flowering time, on the fruit they are up to 12 mm long. The bracts are shorter than the calyx . This is 10 to 15 mm long at flowering time. The crown is about 20 mm long, pale yellow and hairless, but finely papillary . Usually it is about 1.5 to twice as long as the chalice.

The fruits are about 3 to 4 mm long, smooth nuts .

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 12 + 0-1B.

The species is common in the European part of Turkey .
