Opus is the eighth album of the Schiller music project. On this album Schiller works with the Russian soprano Anna Jurjewna Netrebko , the French pianist Hélène Grimaud and the German oboist Albrecht Mayer .

In addition to a mixture of instrumental music and electronic sounds, the album contains a great deal of classical music. These include an oboe solo from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake , Solveig's song from the Peer Gynt Suite and Claude Debussy's Reverie, some in several variations.

The length of 1 hours and 49 minutes refers to the download versions offered on the Internet, for example as MP3 files. The album contains only 14 pieces of music. There is also a deluxe version with two CDs and a limited ultra deluxe edition with four CDs.
