Orcs Must Die! is a tower defense computer game from Robot Entertainment for Xbox 360 and Windows PC that was released in October 2011. Unlike the majority of tower defense games, the game is not presented from a bird's eye view, but from a third-person perspective of the character, which gives the game elements of the shooter genre.

Gameplay

The aim of the game is to use a total of 24 maps to prevent a horde of opponents - especially orcs - from reaching a portal. The character may not die too often, nor too many monsters may reach the portal. In addition to 6 weapons and spells, 17 traps are available, which you have to earn in the course of the game. Furthermore, you get the opportunity to upgrade weapons and traps. Later there are also 2 different guards and 3 different weavers. The traps can be placed in the game in real time at any time. The currency used is coins that - apart from the starting capital - you get from killed monsters.

reception

At Metacritic.com, the PC version got 83%, the Xbox360 version got 79%.
