Orhan Ölmez (born May 1, 1978 in Manavgat ) is a Turkish singer and composer of pop music .

Life

Orhan Ölmez lived in Izmir for 15 years . 1986–1987 he discovered his interest in music when he met the Saz . During his comprehensive school years he was interested in western music. He finished comprehensive school in Izmir. He also attended a Turkish Conservatory (Conservatory) at the Aegean University . He worked as a Saz player in the field of Turkish folk music, including one year for Radio Izmir . He later began his professional art life working as a composer and arranger in Istanbul and Izmir.

In 2003, his first album Su Misali came out, which was very successful and made him famous. In 2005 he had his second album called Herseyin Farkindayim ; this album was also very successful. In 2006, he was chosen as the best fantasy music artist of the year by the Kral TV Music Awards, which was broadcast live by the Turkish broadcaster Kral TV. During Ramadan in 2006 he showed his skills and presented his program Iftar and Sahūr .

His father is from Divriği , Sivas Province , and his mother is from Turgutlu , Manisa Province . He has a sister.
