The Ormehausen (Norwegian for snakehead is) a mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Payer group of Hoelfjella it rises at the northern end of the Linnormen group of hills .
The first aerial photographs were taken during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . Norwegian cartographers, who also used the descriptive naming, mapped it on the basis of measurements and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
