Oronzo Gabriele Costa
Oronzo Gabriele Costa (born August 26, 1787 in Alessano , † November 7, 1867 in Naples ) was an Italian zoologist specializing in entomology .
Live and act
Costa taught zoology at the University of Naples .
His sons Achille Costa (1823-1899), who followed him in his chair, and Giuseppe Costa (1813-1883) were also zoologists.
Memberships
In 1841, Félix Édouard Guérin-Méneville introduced Costa as member number 236 of the Société cuviérienne .

He is u. a. First describer of the mussel Lentidium mediterraneum Costa, OG 1830.
