Orthodox Synagogue (Prešov)
The Orthodox Synagogue in Prešov , a Slovak town in the Prešov district , was built in 1897/98. The synagogue at 32 Okružná Street is a protected cultural monument .
The synagogue building was built by the construction company Koláček and Wirth. The facade of the building is structured by narrow windows. Inside, the wall paintings in the neo-Romanesque - oriental arch style , which were restored in the 1990s, have been preserved. On the eastern side is the Torah shrine , the work of the sculptor Bascó from Košice.
Jewish Museum
On the women's gallery is a Judaica to see -Dauerausstellung, by the Department for Jewish Culture of the Slovak National Museum was established. The collection also includes items from the former Jewish Museum, which was established in Prešov in 1928.
