Dietreich's local chapel

The Dietreichs chapel described in the Austrian Art Topography belonged to the Döllersheim parish . With the 1938 made depopulation of Dietreichs to bear the military training area Döllersheim it was left to decay.

History and description

The Dietreichs local chapel was built in 1752 as a small, rectangular building with a semicircular apse made of bricks . In the smooth gable wall there was the entrance door and above it an arched window. The north and south side walls each had an arched window. There was a ridge turret on the gable roof . The interior had a monastery vault .

On the altar there were statues of the Mother of God with the Child, the Risen One, a holy abbot, Saint Ursula and Saint Catherine. The Austrian art topography describes all these wooden and polychromed representations as weak.
