Orwell Prize
The Orwell Prize is a British award for political literature and journalism .
The award was established in 1994 by Bernard Crick , biographer of George Orwell , with the aim of promoting the connection between literary quality and political, economic or social issues. The Orwell Prize is awarded in the book and journalism categories. Between 2009 and 2012 there was also a prize for blogs , since 2015 there has been a prize for exposing social injustice, and special prizes are awarded at irregular intervals. The jury changes annually to ensure the independence and objectivity of their judgment.
