Oscar Eschke
Hermann Oscar Eschke (born May 28, 1851 in Berlin , † March 28, 1892 in Chicago ) was a German marine and landscape painter .
Oscar Eschke is a brother of Richard Eschke and was a student of his father Hermann Benjamin Eschke in Berlin. Oscar Eschke mainly painted sea coast landscapes, including Rügen, Mallorca and the English coast. In 1875 he took part in a sea voyage to China (observation of the Venus passage), later he moved to the USA and married the seamstress Emma Zschucke on July 4, 1889 in Chicago. Oscar Eschke was buried in the Waldheim Cemetery in Chicago.
