Richard Eschke

Richard Hermann Eschke (born September 1, 1859 in Berlin , † 1944 in Jüterbog ) was a German marine and landscape painter .
Life
Richard Eschke became known as a student of his father Hermann Eschke and the Berlin Academy . Eschke lived in England for several years , where he studied a variety of paintings . Returning from London in 1886, he and his father painted two dioramas, the frescoes “Kaiserpanorama zu Berlin: The German Fleet Demonstration in front of Zanzibar” and the diorama “Seizure of New Guinea”.
Richard Eschke took part in the plankton expedition in 1889 and then painted the expedition steamer National for the University of Kiel on behalf of the Prussian state .
Richard Eschke was awarded the small gold medal of the Berlin art exhibition.
His brother was the painter Oscar Eschke .
