Oscar Stalf

Oscar Stalf (* 1882 in Walldürn ; † 1974 in Munich ) was a German entrepreneur.

Career

Stalf came from one of the oldest Walldürner bourgeois families. In 1907 he joined the Frey loden factory in Munich in a managerial position and became a member of the owner family through marriage to Emma Frey. After the death of his father-in-law, he took over the management of the company in 1921 and expanded production.

In 1954 he left an extensive collection of ivory carvings to his hometown of Walldürn, which formed the basis for the city's ivory museum .
