Oscar Arnold Wergeland (born October 12, 1844 in Kristiania, now Oslo , † May 20, 1910 ) was a Norwegian painter . One of his best-known works is a painting of the Imperial Assembly of Eidsvoll 1814 from 1885. Two other works by Wergeland are on display in the National Gallery in Oslo .
