Oskar Rummel

Oskar Rummel (born July 27, 1921 in Erlenbach am Main , † August 2, 2002 in Lohr am Main ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Rummel attended the humanistic high school in Lohr am Main and was drafted into the Reich labor, military and military service after graduating from high school. He was in France , England and Canada in captivity . After his release in 1947, he became an administrative officer at the Lohr neurological hospital, where he was most recently administrative officer. He was also the honorary chairman of the ÖTV trade union in Lohr. Rummel joined the SPD in 1947, of which he was district chairman from 1950. In 1952 he became a member of both the district council and the district committee in Lohr am Main , after the district reform he took on these mandates in the new district of Main-Spessart . From 1962 to 1978 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . In 1978 he left the SPD and became a member of the Free Voters Bavaria .
