Oskar Theodor Schweriner
Oskar Theodor Schweriner , also Oscar Theodor Schweriner , (born August 20, 1873 in Czarnikau , Poznan district , † May 10, 1934 in Paris ) was a German-American journalist and writer.
Life
The older brother of the journalist Artur Schweriner emigrated to the USA at the age of 14. There he initially worked as a photographer in New York . In 1894 he obtained American citizenship.
In the following years he worked as a journalist. He lived and worked alternately in England and Germany. In England he wrote for the Daily Mail, among others . He owned an apartment in London . In Germany, where he lived in Berlin , he worked for the Vossische Zeitung , the Berliner Lokal-Anzeiger and other newspapers.
From 1908 he wrote numerous colportage novels , which found a large readership.
His first marriage was to Helene Raphael. He married one more time. He had two children with his wife Lucie.
