Oskar Eberhard Siegfried von Wächter (born April 29, 1825 in Tübingen , † June 15, 1902 in Stuttgart ) was a lawyer and member of the Württemberg state parliament.

Life

Wächter was the son of the Tübingen University Chancellor Karl Georg von Wächter (1797–1880). He studied law and established himself as a lawyer in Stuttgart in 1849. From 1868 he was a director of the Württemberg private fire insurance company. From 1862 to 1868 von Wächter was a member of the state parliament for Herrenberg , from 1872 to 1876 a member of the state parliament for Stuttgart-Stadt. For several years von Wächter was also a member of the citizens 'committee of the city of Stuttgart, from 1879 to 1881 also as citizens' committee chairman. He wrote legal treatises as well as numerous religious writings and biographical sketches.

In 1871 Oskar von Wächter was awarded the Order of Olga .
