Oskar von Weiß

Karl Wilhelm Oskar Weiß , from 1888 von Weiß , (* May 20, 1838 in Langensalza ; † November 14, 1901 on the Rostin manor near Soldin ) was a German administrative officer, manor owner and member of parliament.

Life

Oskar von Weiß studied law and political science at the University of Bonn and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin . In 1860 he became a member of the Corps Palatia Bonn . After completing his studies and doctorate, he entered the Prussian civil service. In 1866 he took his leave as a government assessor and has since managed his manor in Rostin near Soldin . In the Prussian Army he reached the rank of Rittmeister. He was a district deputy and a member of the district committee.

At the end of 1879 he was appointed district administrator for the district of Soldin . He held the office until his death in late 1901. In the same year he was elected to the Prussian House of Representatives as a member of the constituency of Frankfurt 2 (Landsberg, Soldin) . He belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party . On March 2, 1880, he lost his mandate due to promotion. On May 5, 1888, white was raised to the Prussian nobility.
