SAEDI in the East Club (2011)

The Ost Klub was a culture club on Schwarzenbergplatz in Vienna's 4th  district of Wieden . The club specialized in modern Eastern European music.

Originally the Atrium , Papas Tapas , Encore and Wurlitzer music clubs in the basement were located at this address . The four restaurants changed hands in the spring of 2004 and were completely renovated. A year later, the four former discos were merged to form the Ost Klub . The Ost Klub should - after own description - musically build on the historical role of Vienna as bridge piers between East and West. The Ost Klub consisted of a total of 900 m 2 , held up to 700 people and offered 300 seats. The program of the Ost Klub ranged from regular concerts and theater performances to the production of sound carriers. The Viennese group Russkaja became known through appearances in the Ost Klub .

On July 4, 2014, the East Club closed due to complaints from residents. The restaurant is now reopened as a "wine club".
