The Ostergraben is a left tributary of the Helme in the municipality of Werther in the Nordhausen district , in Thuringia , in Germany .

course

The Ostergraben rises from several sources north of Kleinwechselungen . It flows mainly in a southerly direction. The only place on its course is also small changes. In the village it is dammed up as a water supply for the fire brigade. South of the district it flows into the helmets .

particularities

In very dry summers it happens that the Ostergraben does not have any water because the springs dry up.
