Ernst Osterroht

Ernst Osterroht (* 1858 ; † unknown) was a German lawyer, Prussian administrative officer and district administrator for the district of Grimmen .

Life

Ernst Osterroht studied law and in 1880 became a trainee lawyer at the local court, later at the regional court in Königsberg (Prussia) . In 1883 he became a government trainee with the district government in Königsberg , later he was transferred to the Marienwerder administrative district . Because he had killed an opponent in the duel , he was imprisoned in a fortress from 1884 to 1885 . In 1887 he became a government assessor in the Erfurt district government .

In 1892 he became provisional, from 1893 officially district administrator of the district of Grimmen. In 1899 he was released on charges of serious offenses against morality (homosexuality with young people). He then attempted suicide . In 1900 he moved to Zurich . In Switzerland he stayed at first in a hospital and from 1901 in a psychiatric clinic .
