content
The creditors stand in line at Director Bruchsal. Just two days before the premiere of the new “Bunte Welt” revue, they want their money. Margot, Bruchsal's secretary, is again worried about the future of her roommate Patricia, who is late for a rehearsal again, although Margot only organized her job at the Revue a few days ago. Patricia, on the other hand, has been lying in the tub for hours, is now rushing to rehearse and promptly drives her scooter onto a car that turns out to be the Bruchsal. The friendly mechanic Robert drives you and the broken scooter with a Grenner tow truck to test it.
There she is initially fired by director Lefebvre for being late. When Margot wants to complain to Bruchsal about it, because Patricia had been specially driven to the test by "Grenner", she means the tow truck. Bruchsal, however, thinks that Patricia has a relationship with the boss of the global company Grenner and Margot confirms this version in her need. Patricia is immediately declared the star of the show, as Bruchsal hopes that this will save him from financial hardship. The surprised Patricia, who is now considered to be the boss's fiancée, plays along, even if she now meets with Robert, with whom she has fallen in love.
Bruchsal invites Axel Grenner to the premiere, who doesn't know why. He sends his nephew of the same name, a drunkard and good-for-nothing. He, in turn, quickly realizes that he is mistaken for Patricia's fiancé and takes up the game because he finds Patricia attractive. Robert, in turn, withdraws disappointed, as he suspects Patricia and Axel are actually a couple. Because Bruchsal suspects that Robert is a secret admirer and autograph hunter who could endanger the liaison between Patricia and Axel, he puts his dumb bat Marko on Robert.
During the premiere, Axel gets drunk without restraint and suddenly finds pleasure in the dancer Juliette. Bruchsal immediately orders Juliette to dance the finale and not Patricia, whom he spontaneously dismisses. She packs her things and literally runs into Axel Grenner Sr. on leaving the event building, who heard on the radio about his nephew's alleged relationship with Patricia. Patricia confesses everything to him, whereupon he passes her off as a good friend in front of Bruchsal. Bruchsal lets Patricia dance the finale and at the end Robert, who now knows the real background, and Patricia fall into each other's arms.

criticism
The lexicon of international film called thousand stars shine as "Revue film" in which "between rather loud show and musical numbers, the mix-match of a career-making effortlessly Dancer" is treated.
Cinema couldn't get anything out of this film from the 1950s either and was of the opinion: "Where a thousand stars should shine, the gags don't even ignite." Conclusion: "Burned out 50s shooting stars."
