Hurray, we're bachelors again! is the title of a German comedy film by Harald Philipp from 1971 . It premiered on January 14, 1971.
action
Just divorced from his third wife, lawyer Jochen Brinkmann is enjoying his new bachelor life. His old friends, the marriage counselor Willi and the registrar Georg, keep him company. Unnoticed by the three skat-playing and hard-drinking heavy birds, Jochen's ex-wife Suseka, together with the “former” of the other two, forges plans for revenge. They want to get their men to the point that they are remorseful, only to then turn them off coldly .
The ex-wives are already waiting for their husbands in a “Ball Paradox” dance café, and at a roof garden party they are made really jealous by some students. The cunning Aunt Agathe, however, finally arranges a meeting for everyone in Garmisch , where it turns out that those involved cannot leave each other.
Reviews
- The lexicon of international films described the production as "a miserable comedy garnished with hits and puns" and found: "The film digs through grandpa's joke box with German thoroughness, with everything from the Freudian slip of the tongue to the sex beast being represented"
- The film observer found that the poor director Harald Philipp had "pushed the already low level of the so-called German comedy a little lower".
