Teri Tordai

Teri Tordai (also Teri Torday and Terry Torday ; born December 28, 1941 in Debrecen ) is a Hungarian actress .

Live and act

Teri Tordai received an early ballet training and in 1960 took acting lessons at the Budapest Television and Film School. After graduating in 1964, she played at the National Theater and the Comedy Theater.

As early as 1962 she gained film experience, in 1965 she played for the first time in a German film with Piroschka on vacation , where, paradoxically, she played a German in Hungary. Under the name "Terry Torday" she played the title character of Franz Antels successful six-part landlady from the Lahn film series. In their wake, Teri Tordai was a busy performer in various German and Austrian productions for several years. Several times she was the dangerous seductress of very young ( Monika and the sixteen-year-olds , crimes after school ) to very old men ( Heinz Rühmann in Der Kapitän ). In the 1980s she played the sculptor Lenie in Mephisto and the Countess Festetich in Colonel Redl under István Szabó . She was successful as a grandmother in Márta Mészáros ' Farewell to the Magic Forest (1989). Since the mid-1980s she has mainly worked on stage.

Her daughter Lili Horváth , born on June 18, 1976 , also became an actress.
