Frau Wirtin is doing it even better now is an Austrian-German comedy film by Franz Antel with Terry Torday in a double role as Frau Wirtin and as Ilona, Glenn Saxson as her beau and Gunther Philipp as the idiot Count Seibersdorf in the leading roles.

action

In Hungary, the young Ilona does it really well and gets the men’s world going. Therefore, her uncle, the manager of the Maria-Theresia-Weingut, wants to get the spirited Puszta girl under the hood as quickly as possible and, above all, wealthy. Who is better suited for this than the ugly and overgrown French Count de Champenoise, a man of the world who could secure the position of estate manager for him? Ilona, however, doesn't agree at all, so dresses up as a boy with short black hair and escapes to Vienna, where her sister Susanne, the former landlady of the Lahn, lives. Meanwhile, the Swabian soldiers of the officer Jedele have devoted themselves entirely to the fine drops of the famous Maria Theresa Coronation Tokaj. But Jedele also has the well-being of his men in mind in other things: the former sergeant wants to get women for pleasure and the bed for his Swabians stationed in Hungary.

But the powerful Count von Seibersdorf refuses to consent to this project, which he has castigated as amoral. But since the noble gentleman is thoroughly corrupt, he lets himself change his senses with a few kegs of the famous noble Tokaj drop. Count Seibersdorf is also not uninterested in getting a sexually attractive woman into bed through Jedele himself. He approaches the landlady Susanne, who has her hands full to sort out her sister Ilona's tumult of love. Count Seibersdorf is interested in beautiful Susanne beyond the purely outward appearance, above all in her money; he hopes to become even richer through a marriage with the former landlady. But Susanne shows no love for the affected dude, she has someone completely different in mind.
