The Oststadt-Stadion or Oststadtstadion is a football stadium in the Bothfeld district of the Lower Saxony state capital Hanover . It is the home ground of the OSV Hannover soccer club .
history
The stadium was completed in 1972. It has a capacity of around 8,000 spectators and has a grandstand with 450 seats.
The wooden stand previously served as an auxiliary stand in the Rote Erde stadium in Dortmund . After the opening of the Westfalenstadion in 1974, it was no longer needed there and was rebuilt in the Oststadtstadion, while the associated roof was installed in the Rudolf-Kalweit-Stadion of SV Arminia Hannover .
In March 2010, the grandstand was badly damaged by fire, with property damage of around € 200,000. After the roof and some parts of the grandstand had been rebuilt, the reopening of the stadium was celebrated in July 2010; On this occasion VfL Wolfsburg competed against OSV Hannover.
In 2015 the stadium was a venue for the Eurodeaf , the European football championship for the deaf.
