Osvaldo Berlingieri ( Osvaldo David Bellinghieri , born February 20, 1928 in Haedo , Gran Buenos Aires , † February 8, 2015 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine tango pianist and composer.

Berlingeri began his professional musical career in 1944 as a pianist in Héctor Mauré's orchestra . Over the next few years he appeared in the ensembles of Domingo Federico , Joaquín Do Reyes , Edgardo Donato , Lucio Milena , Héctor Varela , Emilio Balcarce and Roberto Caló and traveled through Central America as an orchestra conductor with Raúl Iriarte .

In 1957 he succeeded Osvaldo Manzi in Aníbal Troilo's orchestra, of which he was a member for eleven years until 1968. He was also a member of Troilos Quartet with Ubaldo De Lío and Rafael del Bagno . In 1959 he became a member of the Trio Los Modernos (with Alberto García and Alcides Rossi , later with José Pro and Roberto Goyeneche ) and the Quartet Los Notables del Tango (with Leopoldo Federico , Leo Lipesker and Omar Murtagh ). He played instrumental and vocal tangos with both ensembles.

In the mid-1960s he directed the Libertad Lamarque accompaniment orchestra and founded his own ensemble with Ernesto Baffa , which later became known with the singer Goyeneche. He worked with Héctor Stamponi in the orchestra that accompanied Edmundo Riviera on his last recordings, and with Atilio Stampone he accompanied Goyeneche's recordings.

With Leopoldo Federico and the bass player Fernando Cabarcos he recorded more than thirty classical and modern instrumental tangos for the Victor label . From the mid-1970s he accompanied the Spanish singer Nati Mistral as musical director on several concert tours (including to Japan). In 1989 he recorded the CD Identificación with his own orchestra .
