Othman Mohammed Othman
Othman Mohammed Othman (born October 3, 1946 ) is an Egyptian politician .
Life
Othman is since 1969 Bachelor of Science of Business Administration of the University of Cairo and was established in 1977 as a Doctor of Economic Development and Planning at the University of Economics in Prague doctorate . He was visiting professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Sana'a University . Othman initially worked in the Ministry of Planning, where he advised the government, the International Labor Organization , the International Monetary Fund and the United Nations Development Program .
He joined in July 1997 in the government of Atef Sedki as Minister of Planning and Local Development, and held this position in the Cabinet Ganzuri I , the Cabinet Abaid and Nazif Cabinet . Under his aegis, data on the Egyptian economy were obtained. In a parliamentary debate in March 2010, Othman argued that, according to the World Bank, the proportion of poor people in Egypt fell from 23.4 percent in 2005 to 18.9 percent in 2008, which would have meant that 1.8 million Egyptians less than Would live on the poverty line.
He is married and his son is Bahaa Othman.
