Moufed Mahmoud Shehab

Moufed Mahmoud Shehab ( Arabic مفيد محمود شهاب, DMG Mufīd Maḥmūd Šihāb ; * January 1936 in Alexandria ) is an Egyptian politician .

Life

Mufid Shehab was employed by the Arab Socio-Economic Development Fund from 1978 to 1984. From 1987 to 1990 he was a member of the group of lawyers that represented the Egyptian government as a plaintiff at the arbitration tribunal for the border line near Taba in Geneva .

In 1988 he was a judge at the permanent arbitration tribunal in The Hague. 1989 Mufid Shehab became the doctor of international law doctorate .

Mufid Shehab was a member of the Shura Council. Since 1993 he has headed the human rights organization Society of Human Rights Supporters .

It was in July 1997 for Egyptian research and higher education ministers in the Cabinet Ganzuri I appointed and exercised the office in the Cabinet Abaid from.

In the Nazif cabinet and today in the Schafiq cabinet he holds the post of minister for the Majlis al-Shura .
