Kamal Mohammed El-Shazli ( Arabic كمال الشاذلي, DMG Kamāl aš-Šāḏilī ; * February 16, 1934 in the province of al-Minufiyya ; † November 16, 2010 in al-Bagour , al-Minufiyya) was an Egyptian politician .

Life

Kamal Mohammed El-Shazli graduated from the Law School of Cairo University in 1957 .

Kamal Mohammed El-Shazli had been a labor politician since 1968, when he became general secretary of the Arab Socialist Union in Al-Minufiyya . Mohamed Al-Shazli differentiated the involvement of the armed forces of Egypt in the war in Afghanistan since 2001 in that the support from the government in Cairo was not a commitment to an alliance.

In the Abaid cabinet he was Minister for Majlis asch-Shura . In 2005 he was confirmed for the Egyptian National Democratic Party with 25,900 votes, about 70 percent of the valid votes in the first ballot in parliament. In 2005, under the influence of Gamal Mubarak , he was replaced as Whip in Parliament and General Secretary of the National Democratic Party by Ahmed Ezz.

He died during the 2010 general election in Egypt . When he was connected to a device for artificial respiration , a loudspeaker van of the national democratic state party drove through his constituency , the Al-Bagour district, for which he had been sitting in parliament since 1969 and denied rumors that he had died.
