Othmar Knapp

Othmar Knapp (born October 31, 1940 in Groß Gerungs ; † April 26, 2008 in Waidhofen an der Thaya ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and commercial employee. From 1992 to 1993 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

After elementary school, Knapp attended a secondary school and then graduated from a commercial school. He worked as a commercial clerk and between 1972 and 1992 served as district party secretary. In addition, he was a councilor in Raabs an der Thaya from 1975 , councilor for culture from 1980 and mayor from April 1995 to August 31, 2004. He represented the ÖVP from December 1, 1992 as the successor to Harald Wittig in the state parliament, but left the state parliament on June 7, 1993 after the state elections in Lower Austria in 1993 .
