The Otjihipaberge (rarely English Otjihapera Mountains ) are a mountain range in the Kunene region in northwestern Namibia . The highest peak reaches 1132 m .
The mountains are known for various endemic plant species. Last 2000s with was there in early Tetra Denia kaokoensis a new type of mint discovered. The area is therefore also known as the Kaokoveld Center of Endemism (in German about Kaokoveld -Zentrum für Endemie ). One of the best known of these endemic species is the Commiphora otjihipana .
The most famous mountain pass in the mountains is the Van Zyl's Pass .
